We continually hear from our dealers that finding qualified technicians is a top challenge and impacting their business growth. Additionally, we recognize that finding rewarding careers after military service is a top challenge for America’s service members.
Hence why we went on a mission to efficiently bring together the demand for labor and provide the best hands-on HVAC training to our servicemen and servicewomen and ultimately match them with qualifying dealers.
This is why we created the Trade Warriors™ program. This program will essentially bridge the gap between transitioning military veterans and American Standard dealers nationwide.
The 8-week HVAC training program will provide active duty servicemen and servicewomen who are within 6 months of separation from the services, or current veterans, to be trained and placed in an HVAC service tech or service installer role with an American Standard dealer.

- Find and Screen Candidates for the Program
- Schedule interviews between dealers and candidates
- 8 weeks (300+ hours) hands on training at the Trade Warriors Learning Lab
- Achievements: NATE Ready-to-Work, EPA608, and A2L Certifications
- Cohort maximum = 20 service members
- Dealers will have an opportunity to select recruits before training starts
- The start date will coincide with the class graduation date and the soldier’s separation from active duty
- Trade Warrior Dealer Cost: $8,000*
*Co-op eligible depending on dealers available funds. Billed after soldier has been employed for 90 days at your company.
- Military pays cost of move to Home of Record (or equivalent)
- Some states may offer tax incentives for hiring veterans
